Indra awarded Spanish high speed line control systems support contract

SPAIN: Infrastructure manager Adif has awarded Indra a contract to support and maintain equipment at its high speed line control centres for a further four years.

This includes the Da Vinci integrated train and infrastructure management system which was developed by Indra in partnership with Adif. Indra said this provides operators with a ‘unique and integrated view’ of the network, to facilitate real-time decision-making and enable the automation of key operational processes.

The €32.7m support contract covers the preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance and renewal of the equipment at the control centres in Madrid (Atocha, Delicias and Villaverde), Antequera, Albacete and Zaragoza, including incident response

‘This new project reflects Indra’s ability to act as a technological partner for the development and maintenance of highly critical systems. Our technology is designed to help operate increasingly complex transport networks in an efficient, safe, and automated manner’, said José Benito García Cuéllar, director of Rail & Transit Spain at Indra, on September 7.
