Alpha Trains has recently handed over two new Euro9000 locomotives to Belgian operator Lineas. One locomotive, numbered 2019 401, was completely transformed into the familiar Lineas livery, with some Railcolor attention to detail.
Alpha Trains ordered 12 Euro9000 from Stadler in 2023, further expanding on its already existing ‘Euro’ family lineup. The first locomotive recently arrived from the factory in Valencia (ES), and in March of 2026, Lineas was annouced as the launch customer.
Being first delivered in Alpha trains lime green/grey, our Railcolor design team partnered up with both parties, in order to transform the locomotive into Lineas’ familiar dark blue/turqouise livery. Whilst remaining true to the existing design, we also implemented some details specific to the Euro9000, such as the stripes blending around the headlights.
