On February 20, 2025, Railcolor announced that Siemens Mobility had signed a major framework agreement for 50 Vectron locomotives with RIVE Private Investment, the parent company of Northrail – a first call-off order was placed right away:
- 1st order: 15 Vectron locomotives, including an 8-year full-service contract;
- 2nd order: 2 locomotives later in 2025;
- 3rd order: 8 locomotives announced in April 2026
The first new locomotives of the 50-loco frame contract are expected to be delivered by Siemens in July 2026.
