Swedish freight operator Hector Rail has begun evaluation tests with the Stadler Eurodual locomotive as part of its long-term plan to modernise and optimise its locomotive fleet. The testing programme focuses on real operating conditions, including heavy haul trains and demanding gradients, in order to assess performance, efficiency and operational flexibility. The results will be used as part of the company’s ongoing work to define future investments in rolling stock.
