The UK’s national infrastructure agency, Network Rail, is targeting Wednesday to reopen Scotland’s busiest station. Glasgow Central has been closed since a huge fire last weekend destroyed an adjacent building. Now, with the fire out and demolition of the burnout facade underway, it is hoped that the surface-level platforms and concourse can be reopened for business on Wednesday (18 March).
