We have a CTA History website – www.irm-cta.org.  There is a huge amount of photos, maps, transfers, and ephemera available to view.  The newest section is courtesy of Art Peterson.  He has shared over 2,800 photos from his Krambles-Peterson Archive.  George Krambles was an executive at CTA for decades and a founding member of the Central Electric Railfans’ Association in 1938.  George and Art, along with other contributors, have photographically documented Chicago transit history over the past 90 years.  Those photos are part of the over 10,000 that are available to view on the site.  Other transit historians have contributed to the site including Andre Kristopans, Bruce Moffit, Roy Benedict, Bob Heinlein and many others.  Their input has been invaluable.  Please feel free to take a look, you won’t be disappointed.
