Unit number 557 001 recently came to Germany via France, and is the first of a large batch of battery powered trains for the Northrhine-Westphalia region in Germany. The unit testing here is of the 2-car short version, 45 meters long, with three bogies. A more complete overview of the project can be found in our previous article.
