We already reported in our Daily Rail News (membership here) that Alstom’s Kassel plant is currently building additional Traxx MS3 (Universal) locomotives for Luxembourg-based CFL Cargo. The first unit—registered in Germany as 91 80 6188 181-2 D-CFLCA—completed its test run on 31 March 2026.
For now, the locomotive is visually rather plain, carrying only a light base livery. However, this may change in the future, as CFL Cargo previously applied striking animal-themed designs to ten similar locomotives delivered between 2023 and 2024.
