INNOTRANS: The rolling stock display on the 3.5 km of outdoor track at the Berlin exhibition grounds is always one of the main attractions at InnoTrans, and visitors to this year’s event will be able to see 113 vehicles from 17 countries including South Korea and China. There will be a particular focus on alternative traction technologies.
A total of 130 exhibitors will be represented in the 20 000 m² of outdoor areas, including 30 companies making their debut in this section.
Slovakian wagon manufacturer Tatravagónka will be presenting the most vehicles at InnoTrans 2026, with eight.
Switzerland’s Stadler Rail follows with seven vehicles for Germany, Austria, Italy, Norway and Switzerland, including a hydrogen-powered narrow-gauge train and a battery-powered regional train.
Siemens Mobility and CAF will also be also showcasing vehicles with alternative propulsion technologies, and CRRC will be presenting a hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive.
Alstom will be showcasing two Traxx locomotives featuring innovative onboard signalling.
Hitachi will be showing an ETR1000 Frecciarossa high speed trainset, and Hyundai Rotem its EMU 320 with a maximum speed of more than 300 km/h.
Railevo will be presenting an autonomous rail taxi, FS Group an unmanned vehicle and TH Ostwestfalen-Lippe its Monocab autonomous monorail vehicle for rural areas.
Belgian exhibitor Otiv plans to operate a train remotely in the Netherlands as part of a demonstration.
‘Nowhere else can the diversity of the international rail industry be experienced so directly’, according to InnoTrans Director Kerstin Schulz.
