Submissions for the RailTech Innovation Award are open again! The prize for the most promising innovation in rail will be awarded at the international exhibition and conference RailTech Europe 2026, on 4 March in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
During previous editions of the RailTech innovation award, there were various categories, each with a winner. This year, there is only one award, for the best rail innovation of 2026 – so for the innovation that wins this year, it’s even more of an achievement.
Based on the submissions, the expert jury selects the 3 best innovations, which will give a pitch at RailTech Europe 2026, so don’t forget to register!. On March 4, the jury will select one winner from the pitches.
Submissions can be sent in via this form, with the deadline of 6 February. You can submit an innovation from your own company, or an innovation you have seen in the sector.
Criteria
The expert jury will choose the winners on the basis of the following criteria:
Innovative: The product or service should be new, creative and a unique approach
Problem-solving: It should address a relevant problem or challenge within the industry
Impact on the rail sector: The solution should be practical, implementable and offer a measurable improvement for the rail industry.
