Europe’s rail supply industry is pressing the European Commission and EU cybersecurity authorities to actively use newly adopted cyber powers to investigate and, where necessary, restrict non-EU technology used on critical rail infrastructure. UNIFE chief Enno Wiebe called for Brussels and ENISA to draw a clear line, with EU rulings on “unsuitable non-EU technology” in rail, as Chinese rail tech edges further into the European market.
