Miniatur Wunderland is the largest model railroad layout in the world and Hamburg’s number one tourist attraction. More than 23 million visitors from across the globe have already experienced this extraordinary miniature universe in the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district. Spanning 1,694 m² and built over more than 1,200,000 working hours, this unique masterpiece continues to grow and evolve.
2026 will be a landmark year for Miniatur Wunderland as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Last week, a special preview video was released, teasing an exciting lineup of anniversary events and exclusive products. Highlights include the opening of a brand-new miniature mega section: a South American rainforest, a new program at YULLBE, and Miniatur Wunderland returning to the big screen.
And that’s not all. To mark the jubilee, Miniatur Wunderland will go beyond miniatures: real anniversary trains are planned — including an S-Bahn, a locomotive, and possibly even an ICE!
Just to give you a first idea of several vehicles will look like, previews of the locomotive (by Railcolor Design), the S-Bahn and the Truck/LKW:
