Cold beet soup has already become a symbol of summer in Lithuania, recognizable both to locals and visitors to the country. By introducing the Pink Soup Train, we aim for rail journeys to become not only a way to reach a destination, but also a vivid experience full of flavor and impressions,” says Kristina Meidė, CEO of “LTG Link”.

Not only passengers traveling toward Poland will be able to ride this themed train, but also travelers on local routes. The train will stop in Lentvaris, Žasliai, Kaišiadorys, Kaunas, Kazlų Rūda, and Marijampolė.

According to Vilma Daubarienė, head of the Tourism Department at “Go Vilnius,” the Pink Soup Train will become an additional reason for neighbors from Poland to visit the capital throughout the summer and to attend the “Vilnius Pink Soup Fest” taking place on May 29–31.

The Vilnius Pink Soup Fest attracts many foreign visitors to the city, last year alone, 17,000 guests attended the pink-themed celebration, and tourists from Poland are especially active festival participants and fans of cold beet soup. This year, we want to gift them a pink journey and further encourage them to take part in one of Vilnius’ brightest events, accompanied by numerous activities and entertainment across the city,” says V. Daubarienė.

Last year, around 20,000 passengers traveled on the Pink Soup Train.
