USA: North American Rail Solutions’ rail infrastructure subsidiary American Track has acquired Queen City Railroad Construction, which provides maintenance and construction services for industrial and short line customers.
Tennessee-based Queen City will be integrated into Fort Worth based American Track’s rail construction group to expand its capabilities and geographic reach. American Track COO Stacey Posey said Queen City’s ‘reputation and leadership make them a strong fit and expand our ability to serve customers across a broader footprint.’
Queen City’s current President Mark Edmands will continue to lead the organisation following the sale. ‘The combined experience, capabilities, and national reach of our organisations position us to better serve our customers while creating new opportunities for our employees’, he said when the translation was announced on May 13.
