Norwegian operator Vy Tog, in cooperation with Danish operator DSB and Germany’s Deutsche Bahn (DB), has confirmed plans to launch new international day train services linking Oslo with Hamburg and Berlin from 2028. The new cross-border routes will operate using Talgo ICE L trainsets and are expected to become some of the longest direct daytime rail services in Europe. The trains are scheduled to begin operating in May or June 2028 and will run daily throughout the year, connecting Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany with direct services via Göteborg, Malmö and Copenhagen.
