St. Marienkirchen, 14 January 2026 – Frauscher Sensor Technology announced today that Mayank Tripathi has assumed the position of Vice President & General Manager, effective 1 January 2026. Michael Thiel concluded his remarkable 15-year tenure as Frauscher CEO at the end of 2025. The leadership transition follows Frauscher’s succession plan and marks an important milestone as the company enters its next growth phase as part of Wabtec Corporation’s Digital Intelligence division, following the successful completion of the acquisition in December 2025.

Mayank Tripathi brings over 20 years of rail industry experience to his new role. Most recently serving as Frauscher’s Chief Sales Officer, he led global sales strategy and was instrumental in building deep customer relationships worldwide.

He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Leadership from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Mayank will continue to be based in France.
