
A long-delayed cross-border rail link between Finland and Sweden could launch in the coming months, according to the Finnish government. Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne told Yle News that the goal was “to get the train service started during the summer,” referring to the link between the northern Finnish and Swedish border towns of Tornio and Haparanda, adding that her country was “pushing the accelerator.”
