The Pacific Surfliner service operates along a 351-mile coastal corridor connecting San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and San Luis Obispo County, offering free onboard Wi-Fi and power outlets at each seat. The addition of a new roundtrip is expected to improve schedule availability during peak weekday rush hour periods.
Jason Jewell, Managing Director of the LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency, said:
Expanding Pacific Surfliner service helps strengthen regional mobility and provides travellers with more convenient options along the Central Coast.
This new roundtrip improves connectivity across the corridor and offers riders a comfortable alternative to driving.
An employers forum event will be held by SBCAG on 22 April 2026 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Goleta, which will provide information to local employers on how to promote both jobs and commuting options within the area.
