The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) has ordered seven additional FLIRT Akku battery-electric trains from Stadler, expanding its emission-free regional fleet. The new units, set for delivery in 2028, will replace diesel trains on non-electrified routes in Lower Austria, including the Kamptalbahn and Erlauftalbahn lines from 2029.
