Spain’s rail strike sparked by the fatal accidents in Adamuz and Gelida has ended after 1 day, the largest train drivers’ union SEMAF announced Monday evening. The union says it achieved ‘all of their demands’ and confirmed a comprehensive agreement with the Ministry of Transport, Adif, the State Railway Safety Agency (AESF) and Renfe, calling the deal a ‘milestone’ in national rail safety.
