CEF ‘should be reinforced with 20 billion’ says EU advisory body

Not only the rail sector wants to see the EU’s CEF budget for transport increase, also the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) recently recommended that the funds from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) should be increased by 20 billion, and for transport specifically with 12 billion. The advisory body also made recommendations on how to assign funds more efficiently.
