We are proud to announce that the 900 Incident Watch Camera has received full approval from Network Rail for operational use across the rail network. This achievement follows extensive development, rigorous field trials, and close collaboration with rail industry experts to ensure the system meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Network Rail Approval Marks Major Milestone for the 900 Incident Watch Camera
The approved device will be deployed on Network Rail infrastructure to support a watchperson in remotely monitoring critical assets. By providing real-time visibility of trackside incidents and infrastructure condition, the camera enhances safety, reduces the need for repeated line block access, and accelerates decision-making in fast-changing operational environments.
Successful trials were conducted by the Technical Authority S&C Engineering Team at three high-criticality locations to monitor for cracked crossings. The system is fully aligned with NR/L2/TRK/1054 Section 11.2.2 – Remote Watchperson, making it suitable for any scenario where a physical watchperson would traditionally be required.
Advancing Remote Asset Monitoring and Operational Efficiency
Fully aligned with NR/L2/TRK/1054 Section 11.2.2 – Remote Watchperson, the device is designed specifically for scenarios where a watchperson would normally be required.
By enabling safe, compliant remote monitoring, it offers a significant advancement in both safety practice and operational efficiency.
The approval follows extensive field testing, where real-world feedback informed final refinements to the product. These insights strengthened the camera’s performance, durability, and usability, ensuring it fully meets the demands of front-line rail operations.
We are incredibly proud of the team whose expertise, commitment, and determination brought this innovation to life. Their hard work has shaped a solution that truly makes a difference.
